Tower is looking for a full-time Benefits Specialist to join our team! The Benefits Specialist plays a crucial role in administering and managing employee benefits programs within an organization.
The Benefits Specialist is responsible for assisting HR leadership in ensuring that employees receive comprehensive and competitive benefits packages, providing guidance and support on benefit-related matters, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
This role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams, including HR, finance, and insurance providers, to deliver effective and efficient benefits programs that meet the needs of employees while aligning with the company's overall objectives.
Responsibilities:
Administer and manage various employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, and other fringe benefits.
Ensure accurate and timely enrollment, changes, and terminations of employee benefits.
Develop and maintain effective communication strategies to educate employees about available benefits options, changes in policies, and any updates related to benefits programs.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements, such as ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, etc.
Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends, monitor program effectiveness, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with benefit providers, brokers, and other external partners to evaluate and select benefit programs and negotiate contracts.
Maintain accurate employee benefits records, including enrollment, eligibility, and claims.
Coordinate and facilitate the annual open enrollment process, including plan design changes, communication, employee education, and system updates.
Assist employees with benefit-related issues, such as claims, appeals, and billing inquiries.
Liaise with insurance providers to resolve problems and advocate for employees' needs.
Collaborate with HR and legal teams to develop, review, and update benefits policies, procedures, and plan documents.
Ensure alignment with company policies, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
Compensation:
$17.

Monday - Friday; 8:

Qualifications:
Associate's degree in human resources, business administration, related field, or equivalent work experience Two (2) years working in benefits administration, or another human resource position.
Working knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and wellness programs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organization, prioritization, and time management ability Exceptional attention to detail Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations (e.
g.
, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA) governing benefits.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screen, and credit check.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred Professional certification in human resource (Ex.
SHRM-CP) Advanced proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration software.
Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and wellness programs.
This position is located in Flowood, MS.
The employee will report daily to our corporate location.
